New UC Gundam Anime

I am glad the sunrise is going back to U.C, but another story from one year war? This just make me think sunrise is lazy, why not put some serious time in there to make a kick ass story to contiune the U.C universe.

They should really expand on stuff that happened during Zeta and ZZ. Or better still, so something that takes place in between Char's Counterattack and Gundam F90.

I totally agree with Nu Soard. The One Year War has been done to death. There are big, juicy gaps in the UC timeline full of possibilities.

I think if the story is good, doesn't matter when it takes place really. For the mechas, part of me kind the wish Kunio Okawara would work on a UC Gundam show. I have always like his F91, 90 stuff back in the days. Kind the a way to show fans what he can do if he put his hart into it, in contrast with those silly alternative Gundam mechas he did. Katoki Hajime is a safe pick, and I still a fan of his Virtual-On mechas.

I don't make much sense, but that's what I think. XD

Actually it sounds like the series is set just post - One Year war. Also, if this is the actual design for the show, it kind of reminds me of the F90 designs:

Looks a bit like F90, not very much. A F90 like Gundam wouldn't do it, we need like the Next RX-78, something that would last another 20 years.

Well, new Gundam appearantly based on M-MSV's RX-78-7. AFAIK, Sunrise pretty much remove whole line of M-MSV from existance. However, they (Sunrise/Bandai) recycling certain MS from it (by give them Ver.Ka). RX-78-4 to RX-78-6 already appear as major MS in video games and Aqua GM appear in Harmony of Gundam.
