Kamen Rider Black RX
Kamen Rider best translates to "masked rider." Kamen Rider Black RX first aired on October 23rd, 1988 and concluded on September 24th, 1989 lasting 47 episodes.
Five years after Gorgom is defeated by Kamen Rider Black Earth is invaded by aliens calling themselves the Crisis Empire. Minami Kotaro, who transforms to become Kamen Rider Black, is captured by the Crisis Empire and blasted into space on a collision course with the sun. When Kotaro’s capsule approaches the sun the intense solar radiation cracks the King Stone that Gorgom implanted in Kotaro when they turned him into a cyborg. The King Stone undergoes a dramatic change and turns Kotaro’s alter ego from Kamen Rider Black to Kamen Rider Black RX. The transformation is so profound that later Kotaro finds he can also change to become other forms: Roborider (the Prince of Anger) and Biorider (the Prince of Sadness). With his new-found powers, Kotaro fights to rid the Earth of the Crisis Empire. Kamen Rider Black RX also appeared in the movie Kamen Rider Black RX: All Around the World in April, 1989.
Masked Rider Black RX
Masked Rider Black RX usually fights hand-to-hand but can summon the Sun Sword, a kind of energy sword, from his belt when needed.
Acrobatter
Kamen Rider Black’s Battle Hopper was destroyed by Shadow Moon years ago but when Kotaro becomes Kamen Rider Black RX the motorcycle is revived to become Acrobatter.
Ridron
Black RX built the Ridron, a living machine, from the Crisis Empire’s blueprints. It has all-terrain capabilities including the capacity to travel underwater and underground. Kamen Rider Black RX was the only Kamen Rider to drive a car.
Roborider
One of Black RX’s alternate forms, Roborider is stronger than Black RX and isn’t harmed by explosions. Roborider is slower than Black RX and carries the Vortex Shooter, an energy pistol.
Roboizer
When Black RX becomes Roborider the Acrobatter turns into the Roboizer.
Biorider
One of Black RX’s alternate forms, Biorider can assume an energy form and most forms of energy pass through him harmlessly. In this form the Sun Sword becomes the Bioblade which can reflect energy weapons back at the attacker.
Mach Jabber
When Black RX becomes Biorider the Acrobatter turns into the Mach Jabber.
Shadow Moon
Shadow Moon returns later in the series seeking vengeance on Kotaro. When he returns he carries the Shadow Sabers.
