Battra
Battra is one of the first two human-form Inbit created by Refless. As such, Battra is a leader of Inbit forces in the field where he pilots a Ghoss. Battra is an exceptionally skilled pilot and a strong leader. His view that humans are inferior in every way to the Inbit proves to be his undoing. When he suffers setbacks from the clever plans and skilled piloting of the humans he despises he develops an obsession with defeating them. This obsession possesses him completely and twists his emotional development. Battra meets his end in battle with Stick Bernard at Reflex Point during the Third Invasion Fleet’s attack.
Battra’s obsession with fighting humans may have been unavoidable. From the moment he was granted a human mind and body he was told to attack humans. Before having a human mind he was a drone soldier with very little intelligence or sense of self. Refless didn’t understand humans very well when she started making them. She had no knowledge of how humans learn morals and values during childhood and how they take years to learn how to become a part of society.
